CMC-Canada Board, Delegates and Fellow Members,
Serving on the Board of ICMCI has truly been one of the highlights of my professional journey. Representing CMC-Canada on the global stage has been a privilege, and it’s given me the chance to work alongside incredible colleagues from Institutes all around the world.
Together, we’ve tackled big challenges, championed the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation, and focused on raising the bar for our profession. It has been an honour to represent such a respected Institute internationally.
The management consulting world is changing fast. Technology like AI and automation is shaking up how we work, and clients expect more than just advice—they want real results they can see and measure. At the same time, global markets are more complex, and there’s growing pressure to stay ethical and sustainable in everything we do. But with challenges come opportunities.
Tools like the CMC® designation and the ISO 20700 standard help set our members apart, showing the real value professional consultants bring to the table. We need to focus on differentiating the profession of management consulting from the Industry of consulting. As professional consultants, we provide so much more than the ‘time for dollars’ approach so prevalent in the industry.
As my time on the ICMCI Board comes to an end, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited for what’s ahead. With the amazing global network of volunteers we have, I know we’re ready to shape the future of consulting in a big way. Thank you for trusting me with this role—it’s been an absolute honour to serve!
